DJ t_tablez, is a project that was started in 2003, by Thulani Vilakazi. Thulani is originally from Melmoth [KWA-ZULU NATAL], and now resides in Johannesburg [SOUTH AFRICA]. He began his journey with house music in the 90’s, being greatly inspired and still is inspired, by the likes of Dj’s @ Work [Vinny Da Vinci & Christos], Fresh, and Glen Lewis. The Deeply Soul Rooted Sound of t_tablez is a combination of beats and rhythms carefully blended together, to touch & move your soul.
t_tablez’s passion for music dates back to his high school years, where he & a couple of friends used to dj at school events. At their disposal at that time, were 2 hi-fi systems, lots of cassettes and very few cds… “it was all a cut and paste, fade in and fade out job, from track to track”, [laughs out loud], “back in the days!”. This was the point that the house bug got a hold on Thulani, and he had great interest to start learning more about the music, more about djying, and more about beatmatching”. And that’s when t_ablez was born. In 2004, t_tablez moved to Johannesburg… and this marked the beginning of a great journey that lay ahead.
t_tablez’s talent & skill has been recognised by local & international entities, and has been invited twice (in 2008 & in 2009) to dj at the Winter Music Conference, that happens annually in MIAMI [USA], to showcase his talent & skill. t_tablez has rocked various events, clubs, lounges and shows in and around SOUTH AFRICA (Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga), leaving his crowds with an unforgettable musical experience. t_tablez is a resident dj on the biggest dance music station in South Africa, BEATS RADIO, which is a Channel O initiative powered by House Afrika Records. You can catch The Deeply Soul Rooted obSession with t_tablez on Beats Radio Mondays @ 21h00(CAT), Thursdays 23h00(CAT), & Saturdays @ 19h00(CAT). You can also catch guest mixes by t_tablez on various Radio & Television Stations/Shows such as Channel O “The 411”, VUZU “Touch Tv, Late Touch”, Metro FM, Lethlabile FM, Ukhozi FM, Icora FM and Alta Ego(a UK based radio station).
